Category Borgie

Borgie is a small hamlet in Sutherland, Highland, Scotland, historically part of the large Tongue estate and now home to Borgie Lodge, a bed and breakfast. The hamlet is renowned for its salmon fishing, as the nearby River Borgie is one of Scotland’s most famous salmon rivers. Borgie was affected by the Highland Clearances when its crofting village was cleared, but it was subsequently resettled in the early 20th century.
