雲起會館 Wolken Lodge, Hengchun: A Jacuzzi-Balcony Boutique in Kenting’s Gateway Town
Opened in 2013, Wolken Lodge sits in Hengchun Township — the quieter, more liveable alternative to the bustle of Kenting Main Street. Eight floors, 24 rooms, a rooftop pool, and a design-forward interior that earns its reputation as one of the more distinctive stays in the area.
Location
Hengchun is the practical base for exploring Kenting, and Wolken Lodge sits close to the centre of it.
The Xinxing Road Farmers’ Market is a 13-minute walk; most of the area’s key draws are a short taxi ride away — Guanshan, South Bay (8 mins), Longluantan Nature Center (11 mins), Hongchai Water Village (10 mins), and Victoria Horse Ranch (3 mins).
Hengchun Wuliting Airport is 8 minutes by taxi. Katunayake-style transfers aren’t the story here — the hotel runs an airport shuttle for a fee.
There’s a supermarket next door. Scooter rental nearby makes beachless location a non-issue.
Rooms
Three room types across 24 rooms:
- Queen Bed Room (30 sqm, one king-size bed)
- Family Room (46 sqm, two king-size beds)
- VIP Villa (66 sqm, with a king-size bed plus sofa bed, or two double beds).
The signature feature is a private outdoor Jacuzzi on the balcony.
Rooms are spacious and modern, with air conditioning, LCD/plasma TV, minibar, refrigerator, tea/coffee maker, separate shower and bathtub, blackout curtains, soundproofing, and free WiFi and LAN.
The design has a European aesthetic — clean lines, smart layouts, and a sensory detail on arrival: staff pre-set the air conditioning, lighting, and an aromatherapy diffuser before check-in.
The glass wall between bathroom and bedroom has no curtain — fine for couples, awkward for groups.
Pool & Facilities
The rooftop pool on the 8th floor is a genuine draw, though its opening hours are limited, starting from 1 PM. There’s also a bar, karaoke, BBQ facilities, a water park element, meeting facilities, and a garden. Massage and spa services are available on site.

One restaurant serving traditional Kenting cuisine. Breakfast is offered.
Service
Staff are warm and attentive, and the owner’s hands-on involvement — pre-set rooms, personal introductions to the area, quick problem resolution — is fantastic.
Check-in from 3 PM, check-out by noon. Front desk operates until midnight.
